If you are seeking nostalgia, a specific antique, or collectible or just want to spend time browsing, Adams County has a variety of antique shops focused on your whims and desires. The best days to find shops open are Thursday through Saturday. However, please note most shops have a phone number listed and the owners are more than willing to work with you to plan a day of antiquing when the posted hours do not fit your schedule.

Bring your family and friends to cruise about Adams County. You will find all price ranges, usually more competitive than in larger cities or malls. Some shops are more focused than others on furniture versus glassware and smaller items. Other shops in addition to their antique and collectible stock will feature local crafts, candles, art, country accessories and more. When you wander through the shops frequently you are bound to uncover a bargain. All the shops are worth digging through if for nothing else this can be a painless way to learn history.
In addition to specific shops devoted to antiques and collectibles Adams County has other opportunities to find treasures. Most of the community festivals on the calendar of events will have flea markets and yard sale booths featuring collectibles and antiques displayed by people that do not operate an antique shop.
Check the bed and breakfast listings as some have antiques and galleries too. Auctions, sales, festivals, and lodging can be combined with your visits to the dealers throughout the county. Perhaps you will find that special something you just can not do without. Happy Hunting!!
