For that perfect fall getaway for a day, stop by the Fayette Fall Festival from Sept. 18-19 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds.
The festival, sponsored by the Fayette County Ag Society, features craft vendors, rides and entertainment.
There’s also a wide selection of food vendors - sure to please any palate.
Deep-fried veggies, elephant ears, funnel cakes, lemonade shake-ups and Italian sausage are among the mouth-watering food choices available.
In addition to the festival, the 3rd annual Fayco Up in Smoke stock truck pulls will be held at the McDonald’s Grandstand.
At 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, stock trucks from the Central Ohio Pull Circuit will compete to see who has the biggest, baddest engine.
Truck pull sponsors are Anderson Equipment and TLC Ag. Admission to the truck pulls is $10.
According to Economic Development Director Rob Hedrick, the Fayette Fall Festival is acting as sort of a replacement for the Scarecrow Festival, which has been cancelled for this year.
“Since we were not able to have the Scarecrow Festival this year, we’ve talked to the Fayette County Fair Board and they are using the same food vendors, ride vendors as we had for the Scarecrow Festival.”
Admission to the festival is free.
For more information, visit www.fayettecountyagsociety.com, www.truckpulls.com or www.cotpc.com. Or call 740-572-3661 for truck pull information or 740-572-1120 for festival information.
