Trading Post a Landmark in Bainbridge A landmark for the community of Bainbridge, The Trading Post Antiques store is a one-woman creation. Rosemary Keaton started her business from the ground up. She did the work for her labor of love after hours. Her full-time job was executive administrative assistant to the president of the Chillicothe Hospital. The hospital is now called Adena Regional Medical Center Hospital. She also kept books for local logging companies. After she retired, she worked at her antique business full-time. Rosemary, a favorite with customers, was still running the business when she recently passed away at 82. |

Cedar Bog a place of quiet beauty A place of mystery, fascination and intrigue, Cedar Bog Nature Preserve is one of the most unique places in Ohio. Home to many rare and endangered species, it is a special place to treasure and protect. Proving that first impressions aren’t always accurate, a survey crew managed to penetrate the outer cedar thicket in 1802, but described the rest of the area as an “impenetrable swamp”. It was the first preserve to be bought with state funds in 1942. It is now a dedicated state nature preserve and a national natural landmark. |
